We Create - You Communicate!

Everyone is capable of being profoundly and beautifully creative!  Creativity is a form of therapy that enhances positive feelings.  Each piece we create is an expression of uniqueness.  The expression of passion is mutually beneficial for us and our clients because as we create, we also release our emotions, clear our mind, and enhance our creativity.  At the same time, we contribute to our client’s self-expression and make them feel more confident as they wear our creation.

My One Big Thing

Finding my core, my one big thing is perhaps one of the most challenging quests I ever had in life.  There was a time when I got really confused and indecisive.  I was earnestly finding what I really want (interest) what I should really be doing (purpose), what I am good at (talent) and what God wants me to do (mission)!

I remembered the time when I still don’t have a clear picture of what I want to be.  I am not clear with what I want because apparently there is so much I want to do and accomplish.  And my attitude has not been helping me in my attempt to narrow my focus.  I have diverse plans, so diverse that they make me indecisive for years.  My plans include having my own specialty boutique, designing and creating fashion accessories, starting a shoe line or bag line, establishing photography studio specializing in scrapbooking for kids and moms, bakeshop, teaching professionally and more!

Though I felt confident, I was still not focusing on one thing, hence I don’t get to accomplish anything at all.  I am working my way to being successful in the professional world but this does not obstruct me from living my dreams and pursuing my passion.  I need to figure out what else I want to do and find a happy place where I feel content and build upon it.    I work hard during the day, spend time with my husband and daughter, attend to family needs, find time for my thesis, keep up with family and friends as I continuously dabble in some arts and crafts and make jewelries together with my sister.

Dreams don’t have to wait and begin collecting dust!  I realized I have to make a decision and focus on one thing.  Handcrafting accessories is my one big thing at the moment!  I am just so happy that my sister and I have been getting all the support from our family and friends!  As we work hard on this, we are also preparing room for a fresh refill of God’s grace and blessings!  Yes, everyone is capable of tapping into his or her own creative spirit! This means filling one’s life with the desire to innovate, to explore new ways of doing things and to bring dreams to reality!   And if we can inspire persons to fulfill their dreams and not to hold back then that spells greater success for us!

It's A Piece I Made

I am a psychologist by profession.  I’ve spent years motivating people, helping them feel good about themselves and boosting their confidence.  I have always believed in finding the strength of people rather than working from the negative point of view of labeling.  My aim is to constantly build on people’s innate strengths, creativity and resourcefulness.  As I focus on the positive, the great and wonderful things, I am able to appreciate more the value of beauty and sense of optimism.  Though I spent only four years in the counseling profession, my mission of helping and listening to people and friends continue to the present.  As I write this, I am in the process of completing my thesis in the graduate study.  It took me years to finally write my thesis.  I want to make sure that it is something that is of real value to my passion – arts and psychology.  I am developing an expressive counseling tool that would help an individual increase his/her capacity for self-direction and intensify the use of creative counseling in our country. As I relate these to emotional health, I am beginning to fuse art and psychology and hopefully come up with better ways of promoting creative potential and sense of achievement among young people.

Apart from this, I have also begun venturing into creative arts through designing and handcrafting ACCESSORIES!  It started as a hobby which I considered therapeutic.  I think the creation of art pieces is a powerful experience in and of itself as it takes another form of self-exploration and discovery.  It is also equally therapeutic wearing the jewelry designs I have handcrafted myself.  Yes, passion for what one is doing makes all the difference!  I am amazed at how creativity is being nourished and developed as I keep my focus on it.  Each piece I make is an outcome of my everyday experiences, mixture of emotions, & inspirations.  I can always be proud that my piece breathes uniqueness!

I feel confident wearing the fruit of my labor and when people compliment it or ask where I bought it… I just smile and say “it’s a piece I made”!
